P&F Movie Night
I look forward to welcoming our families into school for our first movie night (tomorrow!). Thank you to the work the P&F have done in setting up this evening. Don't forget to bring your rugs, blankets and low chairs. For more information refer to the flyer within the newsletter.
NAPLAN
This week, our students in Years 3 and 5 have been completing NAPLAN assessments, which focus on writing, reading, spelling, grammar, punctuation and numeracy. Well done to all students (and teachers) during this time, which can sometimes add an 'extra layer' of anxiousness to school. Students' NAPLAN results will be sent home to parents later in the year. St Brigid's looks at NAPLAN results to identify strengths and areas of need to improve teaching programs.
Harmony Day
Our school will be celebrating Harmony Day next Tuesday 21st March. Students are invited to wear any cultural clothing on this day or the colour orange. Traditionally, the colour orange signifies social communication and meaningful conversations. It also relates to the freedom of ideas and the encouragement of mutual respect. Please see the flyer below for more information on what you can bring to add to the display for Harmony Day.
Parent Teacher Interviews
By the end of this term, all parents will have the opportunity to meet with their child's teacher for a 10 minute Parent Teacher Interview. On Wednesday 5 April, school will close at 12.00pm on this day to allow teachers to meet up with parents. Booking your timeslot will be opened up soon via SZapp.
Three Year Old Pre-Kindy Information Session
An information session will be held during Week 10 on Tuesday 4 April 9.30am in the Kindy room. This session is for parents of children commencing our Three Year Old Pre-Kindy program next term. Supervision will be available for the children to play outside during the meeting.
Enjoy the weekend ahead everyone!

PP/1/2 Liturgy
The PP/1/2 classes attended a beautiful Liturgy in the church yesterday. It was the perfect occassion to remind us to pray, give and sacrifice during the season of Lent. The children placed a foot they had decorated on the floor as a centre piece, signifying steps they will take to be more like Jesus.
Thank you to our families who managed to come and support this Liturgy.
School Uniform News
A big note of thanks to all parents for your continued support maintaining our uniform policy. I appreciate many parents were unaware that children were not wearing the correct uniform items. Today, our uniform committee met to discuss the continued inprovement of our sports uniform. We are currently working with our uniform provider (Perma Pleat) to develop a 'story board' which is a pictorial snapshot of the colour scheme and style we have developed. Once we receive the story board from Perma Pleat, we will share this with the school community.

It was a very enjoyable day and I was so proud of the students- Well done to you!
