Interschool Cross Country
A message from Mrs Beesley ...
St B’s attended the annual Interschool Cross Country Event at East Manjimup Primary School last Friday 9 June. Here we compete against 12 other schools from around the district. As usual the day was a great experience with lots of wonderful results. I would like to congratulate all our super competitors on their run and how they represented themselves and our school. This Cross Country track is very tricky with lots of turns, mud, moss and uneven terrain, the distances for each year group are as follows:
Y3 & Y4 – 1.75km
Y5 & Y6 – 2.1km
It is always a big day filled with lots of energy and emotion, but I was very happy with how we finished up! The results were: *students highlighted in pink will be invited to compete at the state cross country event in August in Perth.

You may have already heard your child talking about this upcoming event; next Friday 23 June will see our students in Year 3 to 6 attending the annual Lightning Carnival in Boyup Brook. This winter sports carnival includes Netta & Netball, Soccer and AFL footy. Students have nominated their preference of which sport they would like to participate in. Parent attendance is welcomed and we look forward to seeing as many coming along as possible. It is always a really fantastic day!
