A note from Mr Pardini
Cyber-safety parent workshop
Some very real and important messages were delivered to students, staff and parents at this week's Digital Wellness sessions. In regards to the parent workshop, I have to say, as a parent myself, the information was extremely valuable, practical and thought provoking. I know word has already spread amongst families about how well the evening was presented, which left parents with strategies to assist us as we navigate the 'tricky space' of digital media in our homes. If you were one of the parents who missed the opportunity, information from the workshop is going to be sent to the school from the facilitator, and in-turn, we will pass this onto you. A big thank you to our P&F who generously funded the presenter to facilitate these workshops. We will definitely continue the association with "E-Safe Kids" in the future.
Dance Sport
What a week of fun, dance moves, shaking and bopping! Thank you once again to Debbie-Ann, Daniel and students for making this year's Dance Sport week a success. The cold weather this week almost made it the perfect conditions to move our bodies and warm up! Tomorrow we will host the annual showcase where your children get to demonstrate what they have learnt over the week. This will take place on the basketball court from 1.45pm. See you there!

Garden Club
Our wonderful 'Garden Club' has been hard at work this term. They have been planting new seedlings and putting compost into the garden. Since we have worms at school, they have also been putting worms into the farm and then using the rich 'juice' to feed the plants. Learning how to plant seedlings and care for them has been a focus of this term as well as putting up supports for the peas which have been mulched. Thank you to Mrs Turner, Mrs Liddlelow, Miss Kilrain and the various students who have braved the cold to work in the garden each week during a lunch time.
The Garden Club also has some very exciting news to share.....it is with thanks to Talison for gifting a succesful grant sum of $2500 to the club. This money will be used in the indigenous garden space which will also include a space for mindfulness. We will keep you posted on how this develops. Check out some of the photos of the club in action!
Sunday Church Roster
Thank you Mrs Harris, Mrs O'Neill, Sia, Jaimee, Eleanor, Reegan and Sonny who assisted with the Parish morning tea roster last Sunday.
St Brigid's School is rostered on once a term and it is nice to have the support of famlies to make morning tea.
A special mention must go to Sonny, who made a cake and although he couldn't stop for Mass, still managed to leave the cake at the church on his way to football!

Canteen Roster - Term 3
We know it means a lot to our school community that St B's offers a canteen service twice a week! When we reached out last week for a plea for more volunteers to assist, we were thrilled with the response. We are one of the very few primary schools in our region to operate a canteen and we happen to be the only school in Bridgetown with this service. The financial viability and continuation of our school canteen into the future will always be reliant on volunteer help. We would like to remind families who regularly use the canteen, these roles can be filled by mums, dads or other adult family members including grandparents. If you haven't ever helped in the canteen or made a cake, please do not feel overwhelmed by the idea of it. Our wonderful Canteen Manager, Kristan Banks will show you the ropes and make you feel welcome, a free lunch is always on offer too! Thanks again to everyone who has come forward to volunteer their time, we only have a handful of gaps to fill for next term. If you can assist, please contact the school office or comment on the Parents of St B's FaceBook page.
