Thursday 26 October, 2023 (Week 3)
A note from Mr Pardini
Dear Families,
Hold onto your hats as the pace of our term is certainly increasing! I do hope you are keeping your heads above water at this time and managing to enjoy some of the festivities of this term.
Pre-service teachers
This term we have had two additional staff members joining us for their teaching pracs. Mrs Sarah Ruffino has completed 3 weeks in Year 2 already, with only 1 week to go. Next week Mrs Hayley Cook will commence a 4 week prac in Year 1. It has been lovely having an additional set of hands in these classes and supporting these upcoming teachers who are both in their 3rd year at university. Thank you to Sarah and Hayley for the time you have dedicated to our children during your teaching practice.
Year 1 Assembly
Please join us tomorrow at 8.45am in the hall for the Year 1 Assembly.
Blues weekend
Thank you to those families who have already taken up the P&F call for help at this fundraiser. For more information, look at the 'Blues 2023 Volunteers' reminder which was posted on SZapp on Tuesday. This year St Brigid's our Years 4-6 students will be walking up to Bridgetown Primary school for a free concert on the Friday before the Blues. What a way to see the Blues weekend in!
Pupil Free Days
A reminder to all our families, we will once again follow the Blues weekend with two pupil free days in Week 6 of this term. Please note Monday 13 and Tuesday 14 November the school will be closed. School will resume on Wednesday 15 November in this week.
School Advisory Council Meeting
A reminder to all School Advisory Council members, our next meeting will be held this coming Tuesday 31 October at 6.00pm at the Bridgetown Hotel. If you cannot make this meeting, please contact the school as soon as possible to ensure we have our quorum. Thank you.
Have a fantastic weekend everyone!

Principal
Blues Weekend
HELPERS NEEDED! Over the past week we have put out a couple of notices to our families to appeal for assistance for our P&F Fundraiser over the Blues Weekend. If you've never been involved, we encourage you to take this opportunity to be part of this event - it's fun and easy. Thank you to the families who have volunteered some of their time over the weekend to help. However, we have so far only had 16 families respond and we are still in need of helpers, in particular for Saturday and Sunday breakfasts. This is our BIGGEST annual fundraiser with all money raised directed towards resources for our students.
Please contact the school office or simply submit the form on SZapp.
