Week 9, Term 3
A note from Mr Pardini
Welcome to our enewsletter!
I hope that this new platform, which is linked to our school website and app, will provide all families with an easier and more efficient way to keep up to date with the latest happenings at St Brigid's. Thank you for your patience over the past few weeks as we have moved across to this new platform. In the coming weeks, our website will be fully populated with content. We hope that our new app will be a really easy way for you to locate information about our school.
I would like all families to subsricbe to our new school app (called SZapp) as soon as possible. This is how we will be communicating important information to you from the school office, so it is essential that all famlies connect. Instructions on how to do this have been emailed to all families today, as well as included in this newsletter.
A reminder to everyone that this coming Thursday 22 September will be a public holiday to acknowledge the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.
Finally, so you don't miss out on all the action of Term 4, may I encourage everyone to download the Term planner (see below). Dates for events will also be populated into SZapp for your easy reference. A hard copy of the term planner (for your fridge) will be sent home tomorrow.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Dance Sport week
What an energetic week! Our thanks to Debbie-Anne and Daniel who have facilitated yet another successful Dance Sport week at St Brigid's. We hope you can all join us on the basketball court tomorrow (1.45pm) for our showcase of all the dance moves your children have learnt!
Creative Crew Success!
Congratulations to the Year 6 Creative Crew who won the outright competition on Saturday in Bunbury. What a sensational result for this group. St Brigid's has now won two years in a row! The Creative Crew was facilitated by Mrs Muir and were chaperoned by Mrs Barber. Well done everyone!
Year 3 and Year 5 NAPLAN reports
Tomorrow, all children who sat this year's NAPLAN assessment (Years 3 and 5) will receive their report. Along with the report, is an instruction guide to help you interpret the results. You may recall NAPLAN assessments occured at the start of Term 2, during our COVID outbreak, so please read the information with this in mind. If you have any questions rasied from the report, your child's teacher will be able to discuss where your child is currently at and help interpret the results.
Year 6 Camp
Due to the public holiday next week, our Year 6 camp has unfortunately been postponed. Fortunately, the new date is probably the best case scenario - Week 1 of Term 4. Althought the Year 6 class were very humble when they were told the news, I know families are disappointed for this change, and we thank you for your understanding of this alteration which was out of our control. Year 6 Camp will commence on Tuesday 11 October with students returning on Friday 14 October.
