A note from Mr Pardini
Dear Families,
Interschool Sports Carnival - POSTPONED
Following discussion with all the participating schools, we have decided to postpone the carnival from tomorrow until Tuesday 28 November. This decision has been made in the interest of the safety of our students due to the extremely hot conditions that are forecast. We look forward to hosting this carnival next week. St Brigid's will be welcoming St Mary's, Boyup Brook DHS Primary and Balingup Primary School. Our P&F will be hosting a cake stall and they have also organised for a coffee van to be on site, so you can enjoy a barista made coffee!
Containers For Change
Did you know, the funds raised to date for our school, from the drop off points at the tip and more recently the $250 from the Blues Camping has injected a lot of money into our school! Thank you to two of our parents, Nathan and Seonaid who have been working to ensure we have collection points at school. 'Containers for Change' is a great way to ensure recycling happens in an easy way - with the added bonus of putting money back into the school.
AGM - Tuesday 28 November at 6.00pm
Please come along to our end of year Annual General Meeting of the P&F and School Advisory Council. We hold this meeting in our library from 6.00pm. Following the meeting you are invited to stay for a social drink and nibbles. We are chasing nominations for roles on both committees, so if you are interested, we would love you to nominate. Please note, all nominated parents are required to attend the AGM as part of the nomination process. We look forward to seeing you there.
Performing Arts Award
My apologies, last week I congratulated the winners of our Performing Arts assembly, however I neglected to list their names. Well done (for the second time around) to the following students who brought some performing arts cheer to our school recently:
- Jayden Finch (Footloose)
- Alanna Blackwell (singing Fools Gold)
- Winter Prindiville, Daisy Glancy and Charlotte Roberts (News Reading Skit)
- Jeeko Barker-Rose & Charlotte Jewel (Dance performance)
- Maisie Mackerill, Olivia Johnson & Florence Worthington (Singing and dance performance)

Bridgetown Agricultural Show
Thank you to Mrs Willis who has co-ordinated our display of students artwork, all year groups will have art on display. Make sure you visit the Centenary Hall for a look .
St Brigid's Choir will be performing on stage in the Junior Farmers Hall from 10.45am - if you're at the show please try to make time to watch their performance - thank you to Mrs Rubie Watts for coordinating this.
Nominations P&F and School Advisory Council
A reminder that all nominations will need to be submitted by Tuesday 28 November prior to the AGM. Thank you to the parents who have submitted a nomination for our P&F or School Advisory Council. Your involvement is the best way to have both insight and input into our school and work collaboratively as genuine partners in your child's education.
St Vincent De Paul Christmas Hampers
Each year, we ask our families to donate items towards St Vincent De Paul Christmas Hampers to be provided to families within our community.
St Brigid’s Parish call for nominations of families who may appreciate some assistance for the festive season by way of a grocery hamper. If you know a family in our community who may benefit from some extra ‘Christmas cheer’, please contact the school. Calls will be dealt with in a confidential manner and names forwarded onto the St Brigid’s Parish Christmas hamper committee.
Thank you for the donations that have been coming in so far. Please see below the items as per year group that we ask to be brought into school over the next few weeks. Boxes are outside each classroom for items to be placed into.
