Thursday 20 June, 2024 (Week 10)
A note from Mr Pardini
Dear Families,
Hang in there...we have just over one week to go until the holidays! Thank you very much for your support of our school over this term.
Year 6 Camp - I had the pleasure of spending an evening with the happy campers. I am sure we will see some very tired students (and teachers) hopping off the bus this afternoon. Tomorrow, Year 6 children are given permission to remain at home to rest (and so are their teachers!) after a big couple of days. Thank you Mr Ternent for making camp happen and to Mrs Liddelow and Mrs Caporn for accompanying the children over the past few days to make this year's adventure a success.
Reports - Please contact the front office if you are having any form of difficulty accessing the app SEQTA Engage. Next week, we will be issuing reports (PP-Year 6) via this app so you need to check now everything is working correctly in preparation for next week.
Front Administration Office - The extractor fans have been removed, and today the carpets were given a thorough clean. We hope to move back into the front admin area over the coming weeks so our office will be ready for the start of Term 3.
Dance Sport - It's happening next week! Dance lessons with Miss Debbie-Anne will be timetabled during school time. Parents, you just need to remember to dress your children in sports uniform for the duration of the week to make dancing a little more enjoyable! With the final day of term also coinciding with the final day of Dance Sport, we will not be hosting the showcase as in previous years. Thank you for your understanding of this.
Term 3 - Next week, we will issue a term planner for Term 3. Please note, school will commence on Tuesday 16 July.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone!

Principal
Lightning Carnival
Last Friday our Years 3 to 6 students travelled to Boyup Brook for the annual Lightning Carnival. Students participated in either Netta, Netball, Footy or Soccer. The sun was shining, and we had a fun filled day of winter sports - congratulations to all our students for your fantastic attitudes, and a special mention to one of our Netball teams that took home the shield - well done!
Hockey Incursion
On Tuesday during PE our students were lucky enough to be part of a Hockey incursion - they all participated with great enthusiasm and enjoyed the opportunity to play a new sport.
Bunbury Soup Van - Meal in a Can
St Brigid's School will be supporting the Bunbury Soup Van "Meal in a Can" initiative, to help those in need, including homeless and struggling families, by providing soup and meals. At the beginning of Term 3 we will have donation boxes available at each classroom and we are appealing to St Brigid's families to provide a "Meal in a Can" in support of this cause.
SEQTA Engage - Student Reports
All students reports Pre-Primary to Year 6, will be issued to parents via SEQTA Engage.
We encourage all families to download the app if you haven't already, and of course if you encounter any issues, please contact the school office and we can assist.
Please see below for the icon of the SEQTA Engage app.
