A note from Mr Pardini
Dear Families,
Confirmation Mass - We hope you can join us for Confirmation Mass on Sunday 11 August at 9.00am. During this Mass, we will celebrate the sacrament of Confirmation with Daisy, Oliver and Hudson. Following Mass, there will be a morning tea in the hall. If you could bring a plate of food to share, we would also appreciate it.
Soup Van Appeal - thank you for the wonderful support of St Brigid's soup van appeal. The tower of cans in the undercover area is very humble to see. A representative from the Bunbury Soup van will come to school Tuesday 13 August to take the cans so they may be delivered to those in need in the community.
Book Week 'Dress-Up' Day -I know I wrote about this in last week's newsletter, but once again, please note we have changed to date for Book Week 'Dress-Up' Day to Tuesday 20 August. We look forward to gathering for our morning parade on this day.
State Cross Country - We wish all the St Brigid's competitors every success next week as they travel to Perth for the State Cross country championships. Thank you to our families who are making the big trip to Perth to transport your children. Good luck everyone!
MJR / Merit Certificate Assembly - We look forward to gathering next Friday 2 August at 8.45am in the hall for our first assembly this term. We will be presenting the next MJR award as well as our next instalment of Merit Certificates.
Friendology UR Strong online session - Last week, I mentioned the classroom teachers had commenced teaching this new and exciting program called Friendology. We are one week in and already I can hear some of the language associated with this program filtering around the school. We encourage parents to support the same language at home and become informed by joining the online session with your child/children Tuesday 20 August 6.00pm to 7.15pm. The session will be led by the creator of the program, with the aim of the session to have parents and children hearing the same messages and allow the children to teach us! Registration is FREE, you can click on the link included in the newsletter, we have also included a flyer with additional information.
Farewell for three weeks! - At the start of next week, I will be away for a three-week period of long service leave as I travel to Europe. In my absence, Mrs Louise Barber will assume the role of Acting Principal. I will return to school on Monday 19 August.
May everyone enjoy the weekend ahead and I look forward to returning to school on the 19 August.
