Week 5, Term 4
A note from Mr Pardini
Welcome to Week 5!
Faction Athletics Carnival
What an awesome day to celebrate our school's faction talent. The spirit of the day was held high and all students tried their best. Thank you Mrs Beesley for your organisation of our Faction Carnival, the staff for your efforts in making it run so smoothly, and our wonderful families who came along to cheer their hearts out! The P&F are to be congratulated on a sensational cake stall which kept all our energy levels high as well as our canteen manager Kristan for feeding the masses! Please take a look at the gallery of pictures below from this day (there are a lot of photos!).
We now turn our attention to the Interschool carnival which will be held in Boyup Brook (town oval) on Friday 18 November.
Blues
We are certainly gearing up for a big year! Thank you to all our family volunteers who have put their names down for a shift over the weekend. I am sure your help will make the 30th anniversary of the Blues a great celebration.
Pupil Free days
In keeping with tradition, our school will follow the Blues weekend with two pupil free days. In case you have missed it, the school will be closed on Monday 14 November and Tuesday 15 November. All students will resume on Wednesday 16 November.
P&F and School Advisory Council Nominations
Our school Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on Tuesday 29 November at 6.00pm. We are calling for nominations for executive and general members of both committees. If you think you would like to be a part of either our School Advisory Council (formerly known as the School Board) or our P&F, please consider nominating. The link for nominations can be found in a new tile on the SZapp home page or via the live link below. All nominations need to be received by Monday 28 November to be read out at the AGM. For a description of what the roles on these committees entail, please see the section below.
Have a great long weekend everyone and enjoy the Blues!

The Kindy students have been busy learning about Rememberance Day tomorrow 11th November - as part of this we have been looking at the poppies growing in our school garden. We have also been learning about characters and their settings in stories.
